Rioux

Rioux is a July 2023 born colt with the sweetest and most placid temperament, owing to his Hanoverian father, Sir Vari. I had the great pleasure of doing Sir Vari’s early training, and he is as easy and trainable as I have come to expect from all the offspring of the beloved RCMP bred Hanoverian stallion, the late Sir Wanabi. But in looks, Rioux is a throwback to his grandmother, by Bon Balou, with the trademark bright chestnut, slight flaxen mane and tail, and extensive white markings including a ’splash’ belly spot!
Rioux has been field raised to grow up healthy and strong, but is well mannered and good natured, with an intelligent and tractable temperament. He is the ideal ammy project, looking every part the Hanoverian, but is dam was a Friesian x Percheron cross, giving him good substance and a dependable disposition. His versatile breeding will enable him to be competitive in any discipline, a fun and fancy prospect for dressage, eventing, or hunter jumper!
Up to date but not yet gelded, Rioux’s expected height at maturity is 16.1hh. Owner is currently hospitalized after a serious vehicle accident so this sweet boy is sadly in a must sell situation. Purchasers are more than welcome to have him continue growing up with his herd mates here at Everton Farms Equine until after he is gelded in 2025.
